Steps
- On a phone or another computer, open the Microsoft recovery keys page and sign in with the Microsoft account that was used on the locked device.
- Look for the recovery key that matches the device name or the Key ID shown on the BitLocker recovery screen.
- Copy the 48-digit recovery key and enter it on the BitLocker recovery screen.

- If multiple Microsoft accounts exist (personal, work, school), make sure you are signed in to the correct one.
- If the device is managed by an employer or school, the recovery key may be stored in their management system instead of a personal Microsoft account.
- If the recovery key is not available, avoid repeated attempts that may lock you out further and contact Nivid.
